Museum Scare House Halloween Carnival

Our famous Halloween Scare House is in it’s 5th year!!! We are so excited and this year we are going bigger!!!

Kicking off Halloween with a Carnival fair from 3-5pm

Then move to Scare house from 6 – 8pm

Mercury Bay Museum, 11a The Esplanade, Whitianga

Saturday 31st October 2026

Carnival Fair 3-5pm & Scare House 6-8pm

Tickets for the Scare House on sale at the museum now – $8 each (children 14 & under must be accompanied by an adult)

Tickets for the Carnival fair will be available at the event

Museum Explorers

We have a fantastic new kids club – Museum Explorers 🕵‍♂️🕵‍♀️!!

📔 There are passports to collect along with cool badges to add to them.

🔍 Neat adventures to go on with us at the Museum.

Come in for a visit and join them up – it’s FREE to join, FREE for them to visit but parents/guardians have a small fee to pay.
